Event Description:
Attention officers (new and old), volunteers, and those interested in becoming future section, chapter, and affinity group leaders:

This workshop will get you up to speed on how the IEEE works and what you need to know to fulfill your role effectively and painlessly by addressing questions such as:

• How do you run a section?
• How do you run a chapter?
• How do you recruit volunteers?
• How do you find speakers?
• How do you get financial support?
• What reports does IEEE require?
• Where can I find IEEE resources online?
• Can my chapter get a website?
• What can IEEE and IEEE-USA do for me? etc., etc., etc.

This half-day session packs a lot of good information into a Saturday morning and it includes breakfast and lunch. Network with fellow officers, new and old, from the sponsoring sections, and visitors from across Region 2. Get your questions answered and start tapping into the resources you need RIGHT NOW.

All IEEE section, chapter, and affinity group officers AND non-member volunteers (i.e., spouses) are encouraged to attend. All IEEE members are invited. Student branch members are especially welcome. Don't miss this workshop!

Murty Polavarapu is the IEEE-USA Coordinator for Region 2. Polavarapu is an active participant in pre-college and student branch activities. Over the last two decades, Polavarapu has worked on all facets of semiconductor technology with a special focus on developing and manufacturing advanced memory and logic products for space environments.
