Controls in Communications - Presented by Dr. William Thesling

Today’s Digital Communication Systems implement some of the most advanced signal processing algorithms devised in an effort to squeeze out every bit of performance. However, communication systems also utilize a large number of control loops to perform proper operations. In this talk we will look at some of the many control issues that are an integral aspect of modern digital communication systems. A survey about the actual control problems and their solutions in communication systems will be provided.

Dr. William Thesling received his doctorate degree in electrical engineering from Cleveland State University. He is an experienced serial entrepreneur. In 1998 he co-founded and served as CTO of Efficient Channel Coding, a provider of advanced digital communications products. He currently serves as an investor, consultant and advocate for Flibe Energy, Inc. a leading US developer of Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors. Dr. Thesling has over 20 patents in telecommunications, industrial controls and power electronics.

Refreshment and soft drink will be provided!
